My Biography: My Writings

Since 1990, Linda has owned and operated a successful small press publishing company, LEJ Poetic Expressions. She authored and published four books of poetry: From A Delta′s Heart, The Courage To Say It, Imagine This… and Where Spirits Dance. As the managing editor and publisher of the book, Delta Girls Stories of Sisterhood, she published the personal stories of sisterhood written by thirty-nine members of her sorority. A contributing poet in the book, Violets, Linda also has a recipe included in the cookbook, Occasions to Savor. Her work has received several awards and appears on www.poetry.com. She was inducted into the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame, 2001 in the Creative Arts category in recognition of her writing accomplishments. The International Society of Poetry awarded Linda the 2004 Outstanding Achievement in Poetry Award and included her in their 2006 National Poetry Month Poetry Ambassador Online Directory.

Currently writing her novels, The Pharaoh′s Queen, a love story and historical fiction and The Pledge, a love story for modern times, Linda continues to develop her skills as a creative writer and dynamic communicator. With an extensive career as a trainer and adjunct college professor, Linda is sought after as a keynote speaker and lecturer at universities, churches, and business sponsored cultural occasions and artistic / literary events. Educationally prepared with a BS Degree in Psychology and a Law Degree, she has traveled throughout the United States leading workshops, training sessions and focus group discussions on topics including diversity in the workplace and valuing differences in others.
